This Year's Concept is 'Fashion'... Collaboration with Kkawe
Event to be Held at Lotte World Tower on October 6
Lotte Department Store announced on the 19th that registration for the running festival ‘Style Run’ will begin on the 21st.
Style Run, which started in 2017, is Lotte Department Store’s signature event with a total of 25,000 participants up to last year. Every year, it has introduced various concepts combining running and cultural elements, gaining great love from customers. Last year’s event featured the concept of ‘photography,’ providing film cameras to about 5,000 participants and setting up photo spots along the course so that participants could enjoy the moments of running for a long time.
This year, the concept is ‘fashion,’ and it collaborated with the French lifestyle brand ‘K-way.’ All participants will receive a running kit designed in collaboration with K-way, consisting of a T-shirt, sports gym sack, and socks. The running kit is produced in ‘Peach Fuzz,’ the ‘2024 Color of the Year’ selected by the global color specialist company Pantone, aiming to create a bright and lively atmosphere at the event venue. Especially this year, Lotte Department Store will additionally provide discount vouchers usable for fashion, sports, and beauty product categories as a special benefit.
Pre-registration will be held for seven days from 10 a.m. on August 21 to August 27. Main registration will start on August 28 on a first-come, first-served basis for 5,000 participants. Pre-registered customers will receive a 5,000 KRW mobile gift certificate, and the participation fee is the same 50,000 KRW regardless of the course. Registration will be conducted on the Lotte Department Store Mall, where an online special exhibition commemorating the ‘Style Run’ will also be presented, featuring sports brands such as Nike and Adidas.
The event will start at 8 a.m. on October 6 at the Jamsil Lotte World Tower Lawn Plaza. It will be divided into two courses: 5km and 10km. Unlike last year’s 7km and 12km courses around Olympic Park, this year a new course of 5km and 10km has been designed reflecting runners’ record certifications and preferences.
Kim Ji-hyun, Head of Marketing & Communications, said, “Now in its 6th year, Style Run has established itself as a new festival where running and culture can be enjoyed together beyond a simple running competition,” adding, “We will continue to present various events that provide new experiences to our customers.”
