On the 18th, at The Heaven Country Club (par 72, 6680 yards) in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, during the final 3rd round of the KLPGA Tour The Heaven Masters (total prize money 1 billion KRW), Bae Sohyun shot 4 under par to tie with Seo Eojin and Hwang Yumin at 15 under par 201. Then, on the third hole of the playoff resumed at the 18th hole (par 5), she made the ‘winning birdie.’ This is her second career win in three months since her first victory at the E1 Charity Open in May, which was her 154th tournament appearance. The winner’s prize money is 180 million KRW.

Bae Sohyun joined in October 2011 and mainly played on the Dream (2nd tier) Tour and Jump (3rd tier) Tour. She entered the regular tour after winning the Dream Tour money title in 2016 but lost her card due to poor results. She returned to the regular tour in 2020 and has been consistently ranking in the ‘top 5’ and maintaining a position within the top 30 in the money rankings since 2021. She has shown consistent performance this year as well, joining the ranks of new strong contenders by achieving her fourth ‘multi-win’ following Lee Yewon and Park Hyunkyung (both with 3 wins), and Park Jiyoung (2 wins).

Bae Sohyun and Seo Eojin started tied for the lead with a one-stroke difference, making four birdies without any bogeys. Bae Sohyun missed a birdie putt from about 2 meters on the 18th hole, missing an early chance to secure the victory. In the first playoff hole at the 18th, both Bae Sohyun and Seo Eojin made birdies, while Hwang Yumin made par and was eliminated. On the second playoff hole, they tied again with birdies, and on the third playoff hole, Bae Sohyun succeeded with the ‘winning birdie.’

Kim Minseon7 played well, shooting 6 under par, but missed the playoff by one stroke, finishing 4th at 14 under par 202. Yoon Ina, who recorded her first win of the season two weeks ago at the Jeju Samdasoo Masters, was satisfied with a tie for 5th place at 12 under par 204. Park Jiyoung, Mada Som, Kim Gayoung, and Jang Suyeon shared 5th place, while Park Minji, Yoo Hyunjo, Choi Eunwoo, Kim Minbyul, and Li Shuying (China) finished tied for 10th at 11 under par 205 to conclude the tournament.
