80-Year-Old Woman in Yesan Dies from Heat-Related Illness... Second Case in Chungnam

As the heatwave continues day after day, the second heat-related death has occurred in South Chungcheong Province.

According to South Chungcheong Province officials on the 17th, at around 12:30 p.m. the previous day, an elderly woman in her 80s, identified as Ms. A, was found unconscious and collapsed in a warehouse in Yesan County.

After a report from her family, firefighters responded and transported Ms. A to the hospital, but she ultimately passed away despite receiving treatment.

Medical staff believe the cause of death was heatstroke.

Previously, on the 10th, another person in their 80s, identified as Ms. B, also died of heatstroke in Taean.
