A Chinese woman in her 30s was arrested on the 16th for stabbing and killing an acquaintance with a weapon in Sillim-dong, Seoul.

Kim Seok-beom, the chief judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Central District Court, held a pre-arrest detention hearing for suspect A, who is charged with murder, in the afternoon and issued an arrest warrant, citing "risk of flight."

According to the police, A is accused of stabbing her acquaintance, a woman in her 20s identified as B, in the abdomen with a weapon inside a building near Danggok Intersection in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, at around 2:10 p.m. on the 14th. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital but ultimately died.

Investigations revealed that A had an argument with B on the 13th regarding a missing wallet, and the next day, she sought out B and committed the crime with the weapon she had.

When entering the court for the detention hearing, A responded "No" to reporters' questions asking, "Did you go to find the victim with the intent to kill?" and "Did you buy the weapon to kill?"

The Gwanak Police Station in Seoul plans to conduct additional investigations to ascertain the specific details of the crime.
