Gyeonggi-do to Conduct 'Eulji Exercise' from 19th to 22nd... Emergency Preparedness Posture Inspection Gyeonggi Provincial Government

Gyeonggi Province will conduct the Eulji Exercise for four days from the 19th to the 22nd, in cooperation with related organizations including 31 cities and counties within the province, such as Paju City and other areas adjacent to North Korea, corps-level military units, the Northern and Southern Gyeonggi Police Agencies, and the Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters, to establish a regional emergency preparedness posture.


The Eulji Exercise is a nationwide emergency preparedness drill conducted at the intergovernmental level to protect the lives and property of citizens in the event of national emergencies such as war or terrorism.


On the 19th, Gyeonggi Province will hold the first situation report presided over by the governor, wartime organizational formation training, operation training of the wartime comprehensive situation room and wartime establishment organization, along with resident evacuation drills in the border areas of Paju, Yangju, and Pocheon.


From the 2nd to the 4th day, integrated protection training for national critical facilities will be conducted at the Paldang Water Intake Station in Hanam City, transport training for mobilization items in Gwangju City, response training against trash balloon and drone terrorism in Ansan City, and a nationwide civil defense drill will be carried out sequentially.


A Gyeonggi Province official stated, "This Eulji Exercise will be an opportunity to further enhance Gyeonggi Province's emergency preparedness posture and the integrated response capabilities of civilians, government, military, police, and fire services."
