Busan City has announced the fourth lineup for the 'Busan International Rock Festival,' the longest-running rock festival in Korea.
This year's festival will take place over three days from October 4 to 6 at Samnak Ecological Park in Sasang. The event has already generated significant buzz with the announcement of headliners: Kasabian, the renowned rock band from Leicester, UK; Anne-Marie, the British singer-songwriter with numerous hit songs; and Ellegarden, a band representing Japanese punk rock.
The fourth lineup includes N.Flying, the band that recently gained attention with 'Seonjae Upgo Twieo'; Kardi, known for their intense and diverse sound; and Lidoor, a modern rock band capturing the tranquility of nature.
Additionally, Rolling Quartz, recognized for their charismatic performances; Lilium (Baihehua), a Taiwanese band acclaimed for their unique sound and emotionally resonant lyrics that blend popularity and artistry; Jungwoo, an emerging artist with a clear voice and delicate, lyrical songwriting skills; and Low Hanging Fruits, a band standing out for their refreshing sound and honesty, have also been added to the lineup.
The festival will also feature the 'Rookies on the BU-ROCK' program, designed to discover new artists in connection with the Busan International Rock Festival. After a highly competitive first round, the top 15 teams have been selected.
Among them, the teams that make it to the final TOP 10 through live auditions will compete at the 2024 Busan International Rock Festival. The winning teams will receive a total prize of 9 million KRW and opportunities to perform at the 2025 Busan International Rock Festival as well as overseas festivals.
Furthermore, to diversify performance opportunities for artists and allow audiences to experience the festival atmosphere in advance, the pre-event 'Road to BU-ROCK' was held in Seoul in May and will continue on the 17th and 18th in Busan and Daegu, respectively, keeping the excitement alive.
