Accident Occurred Near Cafe Parking Lot... No Drunk Driving Confirmed
Exact Cause of Accident Under Investigation
In Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, an electric car driven by a woman in her 60s crashed into a cafe, injuring more than 10 people.
According to the Yongin Western Police Station on the 14th, at around 3:10 PM that day, a Tesla vehicle driven by a woman in her 60s, identified as A, suddenly crashed into a cafe building located in Gogi-dong, Suji-gu, Yongin-si.
As a result of the accident, two people inside the cafe sustained serious injuries and were urgently transported to the hospital, while nine others, including the driver A, suffered minor injuries and are receiving treatment. Fortunately, all the injured are reported to be in stable condition without life-threatening injuries.
The cafe where the accident occurred was located right next to the parking lot, and no violations such as drunk driving were found on A at the time of the accident.
The police stated, "There were customers inside the cafe at the time of the accident, which caused multiple injuries," and added, "We are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident with driver A."
