Professor Kim Younghoon of Pukyong National University Selected as National Team Doctor for Paris Paralympics

Professor Kim Younghun from the Department of Marine Sports at Pukyong National University will participate in the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games as the team doctor for the Korean national team.

Professor Kim Younghun will be responsible for the health of the 177 athletes representing Korea in 17 sports at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, which will open on the 28th.

Professor Kim Younghun is a leading authority in the field of sports rehabilitation medicine in Korea. He worked as a rehabilitation medicine doctor for 23 years before joining Pukyong National University as a professor in 2021.

He has served as the head of the medical office at Taereung Training Center of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, the head of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the National Rehabilitation Center, the team doctor for the Korean national team at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, and a medical committee member at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. He is currently the director of the Pukyong National University Sports Promotion Institute.

The Korean national team for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games pledged to do their best at the team launch ceremony held at Seoul Olympic Parktel on the 12th, and they are set to compete from the 28th until September 8th for 12 days.
