Asan City Achieves Nine Awards in the Hot Spring Sector Over the Past Year

Asan City in Chungnam received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Wellness Fair.

Asan City in Chungnam announced on the 14th that it received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Wellness Fair held at Seoul Plaza.

The 2024 Wellness Fair is an event aimed at promoting a "wellness" society where physical, mental, and social health are in harmony. Asan City was recognized for its efforts to improve citizens' health by utilizing hot spring health and healing programs.

With this award, Asan City has achieved nine awards in the hot spring sector alone over the past year, including the 2023 Presidential Commendation for Hot Spring Industry Development and the Excellence Award in the Regional Culture Revitalization category at the 2024 National Basic Local Government Manifesto Best Practices.

Mayor Park Kyunggui said, "Asan City will continue to strive for the development of Korea's hot spring industry and the growth of the wellness industry," adding, "We ask for your continued interest in Korea's hot spring resources, which are comparable to leading overseas hot springs."
