Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation signed a social contribution business agreement on the 14th to support overcoming the low birthrate crisis.
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) is launching a support project for families with newborns in the province.
On the 14th, GH announced that it signed a tripartite business agreement with the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea and the Milal Welfare Foundation at its new office in Gwanggyo to actively carry out economic support projects for families with newborns in the province as part of efforts to overcome the low birthrate crisis.
GH recognized the need for customized support throughout the entire cycle of pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare, and on the same day, donated 535 million KRW to the Community Chest of Korea.
According to the agreement, GH will undertake various projects including ▲support for fetal health checkups to ensure healthy childbirth for pregnant women ▲medical expense support for emergency surgeries for high-risk newborns ▲postpartum care and management support ▲treatment support for children and adolescents with borderline intellectual disabilities.
Kim Se-yong, President of GH, stated, "Through this agreement, we plan to actively support generations facing difficulties in pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare to overcome the serious social issue of the low birthrate crisis. We will continue to consider support measures for the local community to resolve the low birthrate problem and contribute to the restoration of family functions."
