Busan Urban Corporation Provides On-site Integrity Training for Construction Site Personnel

Invitation of External Integrity Experts and Implementation of On-Site Customized Training

Efforts to Strengthen Integrity Awareness and Foster Transparent Construction Sites

Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Kim Yonghak) conducted an 'On-site Integrity Education' session on June 9th for 35 stakeholders at the construction site of the Ilgwang District 4BL Integrated Public Rental Housing.

This education was a customized program designed for on-site workers who have difficulty participating in group training sessions, and it was the first time such training was conducted by the corporation.

The lecture was led by a professional instructor from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission's Integrity Training Center, focusing on topics such as an explanation of the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, examples of solicitation that may occur at construction sites, and specific preventive measures against corruption factors at construction sites.

The training was held during the hottest hours of the day (2 p.m. to 3 p.m.), when outdoor work is recommended to be suspended, in order to minimize work disruption. Participants had the opportunity to indirectly experience various integrity-related scenarios and communicate with each other, providing a chance to raise awareness about integrity.

A satisfaction survey conducted among the participants showed results above average, confirming the high level of response at the site. Based on these results, BMC plans to establish continuous implementation measures for future 'On-site Integrity Education' sessions.

A construction site stakeholder who participated in the training said, "This education provided a valuable opportunity to reaffirm the importance of integrity in our work."

Kim Yonghak, President of Busan Urban Corporation, stated, "We will do our best to create an honest construction site, enhance the positive image of public rental housing construction, and ensure the construction of safe buildings."
