The Policy Participation Group and the Policy Council are organizations launched to develop support measures to prevent various types of single-person households from being socially isolated, based on the city's establishment of a basic support plan for single-person households.
At the meeting, the Policy Participation Group, composed of 10 citizens, proposed 8 policies based on 21 policy suggestions submitted by sector, including ▲ a project to overcome obesity rates among young single-person households ▲ making friends for elderly single-person households ▲ a nutrition project for single-person households linked with traditional markets.
During the meeting, related organizations and business departments of the Policy Council discussed concrete implementation plans for the proposed policies. The city plans to prepare effective policies based on data from a survey on the actual conditions of single-person households. Detailed information on support projects for single-person households can be found on the Anseong City website.
Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong City, said, "We will concretize the ideas proposed by the Policy Participation Group through the Policy Council and promote them as new policies for the next year."
