The best way to prevent tick-borne infectious diseases is to avoid being bitten by ticks, making it important to strictly follow prevention guidelines. Before outdoor activities, these include: ▲ dressing properly (wearing light-colored long clothing, arm sleeves, and boots) ▲ using tick repellents, among others.

During outdoor activities: ▲ do not leave clothes on the grass ▲ use mats when resting; after outdoor activities: ▲ shake off and wash clothes ▲ check for tick bites.

In particular, this session used the booklet "Let's Prevent Tick-borne Infectious Diseases Ourselves," produced by the Goseong-gun Public Health Center, to educate seniors, which received a positive response.

Additionally, the session included promotion of COVID-19 prevention guidelines (such as wearing masks), proper handwashing, and cough etiquette education to help participants stay healthy during the summer.

Shim Yunkyung, Director of the Public Health Center, said, "I hope this will be a great opportunity for Public Silver Housing residents and community garden club members to learn safe dressing methods for farm work by attaching stickers themselves," adding, "We ask everyone to thoroughly observe tick-borne disease prevention and personal hygiene rules before and after outdoor activities."
