Delivery of Over 5,300 Sets for Malbok Celebration
Booyoung Group is making efforts to enhance employee welfare by gifting Samgyetang to its employees every summer.
On the 14th, Booyoung announced that it will deliver over 5,300 sets of Samgyetang to construction site workers, employees of group affiliates, and partner company staff in celebration of Malbok. Booyoung has been gifting Samgyetang to its employees for 19 years since 2006.
A Booyoung representative said, “We hope that a bowl of nourishing soup will provide strong comfort to the construction workers who are struggling with the ongoing heatwave.”
They are also taking safety measures for workers against the heatwave. Heatstroke prevention guidance is being strengthened at construction sites nationwide, and workers’ self-diagnosis sheets are used to proactively assess vulnerability to heat-related illnesses. During heatwave warnings, a 45-minute work and 15-minute rest schedule is mandatory, and during heatwave advisories, a 50-minute work and 10-minute rest schedule is enforced. Air-conditioned safety training rooms and worker rest areas have been opened. Additionally, ice and saline glucose are provided to help prevent heat-related accidents.
Furthermore, Booyoung offers lifecycle welfare programs to support employees in balancing work and family life. These include a payment of 100 million KRW per employee’s child, housing discounts, full tuition support for children, medical expense support for immediate family members, and child allowances.
