CJ CheilJedang is resuming direct transactions with Coupang. This comes about 1 year and 8 months after suspending deliveries to the channel.
Starting from the 14th, CJ CheilJedang announced that it will resume sales of frozen, refrigerated, and fresh foods such as Bibigo dumplings, Bibigo kimchi, and Gourmet pizza through Coupang Rocket Delivery. Coupang Wow Membership members can order key products via Rocket Fresh and Rocket Wow for early morning or same-day delivery and receive them within a few hours.
Room temperature products such as Hetbahn, Spam, and Bibigo soup dishes are scheduled to be sold sequentially until the end of September. CJ CheilJedang’s Chuseok gift sets will also be available for purchase through Coupang starting from the 23rd.
The two companies have reached a consensus on the need to enhance consumer convenience and expand choices, and have continued discussions. With the resumption of direct transactions, consumers are expected to be able to purchase CJ CheilJedang products more quickly and conveniently.
A CJ CheilJedang representative said, "We have resumed transactions with Coupang to further enhance consumer convenience," adding, "We will continue to utilize various online channels such as Coupang so that customers can more easily access CJ CheilJedang’s diverse and high-quality products."
A Coupang representative also stated, "By combining our nationwide Rocket Delivery logistics infrastructure with CJ CheilJedang’s popular product selection, we will create a synergy effect," and added, "We plan to actively communicate and collaborate to enable customers to purchase a wider variety of high-quality products in the future."
