2 Nights and 3 Days Training with the Newly Established K-sports Taekwondo Department
The Taekwondo representative team of New Taipei City, Taiwan, consisting of 31 members (4 coaches and 27 athletes), will conduct an off-site training camp at Tongmyong University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) for three days and two nights from the 16th to the 18th.
The Taiwanese team chose Tongmyong University to receive the training and educational system of the K-sport Taekwondo Department and to hold joint training sessions with students of the Taekwondo Department, as they prepare for an international Taekwondo competition.
For this purpose, 27 members from three teams?the Taiwan Junior Taekwondo National Team, Taiwan National High School Taekwondo Team, and Taiwan Youth Taekwondo Poomsae Team?will set up camp at the Taekwondo major hall at Tongmyong University and carry out their off-site training.
Won Hyeongjin, head professor of the Taekwondo Department at Tongmyong University, said, "The Taiwanese representative team will have joint training sessions with Tongmyong University Taekwondo students, as well as with Taekwondo business teams and school teams in the Busan area. We expect this to be an opportunity to widely promote the Chedeokji (holistic) education of Tongmyong University, which has recently emerged as a prestigious institution in sports."
Tongmyong University is scheduled to hold an opening ceremony and plaque unveiling for the Taekwondo Department practice room on the 28th.
