New Single "Self Control" Released on September 3
Alternative-pop duo 'Marrakech' has found a new home at Magic Strawberry Sound.
Magic Strawberry Sound announced on the 13th that they have signed an exclusive contract with Marrakech. The artist, who had garnered much anticipation from music fans following the release of teaser content hinting at a new addition, was finally revealed.
Marrakech is a two-member band consisting of vocalist/guitarist Kim Young-wook and drummer Jo Seong-ha. They debuted in 2019 with the single "Floating." Marrakech presents alternative pop based on Nu-Disco, boasting a relaxed, danceable vibe. Their sound is characterized by restraint and space, achieved through subtraction rather than addition, adding a unique personality.
Magic Strawberry Sound stated, "The band's name, which easily brings to mind the Moroccan city, was inspired by a perfume of the same name. True to the band name taken from a fragrance, their music exudes a distinctive, restrained aroma. If their journey so far, which was independent in every sense, was the first act, then from now on, through the single 'Self Control' set to be released on September 3, Marrakech will announce the beginning of their second chapter with a new story."
Magic Strawberry Sound represents prominent indie scene singer-songwriters such as 10cm, Sunwoo Jung-a, Oksang Dalbit, and Yozoh, as well as Song So-hee, So Soobin, Goo Won-chan, and Yoon Ji-young.
