Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon has once again ranked first overall in a job performance evaluation of 17 provincial governors nationwide after two months. Governor Kim ranked first in the May evaluation but dropped to third place in June.
In the July job performance positive evaluation survey announced by polling agency Realmeter on the 13th, Governor Kim recorded 59.5%, rising 4.7 percentage points compared to the previous month, securing the overall first place.
Since the survey began in August 2022, Governor Kim ranked 5th in positive evaluations, then 3rd in August 2023 a year later, followed by 4th in March this year, 2nd in April, 1st in May, and 3rd in June, maintaining a top-tier position.
In the nationwide satisfaction survey of residents in 17 metropolitan cities and provinces, Gyeonggi Province recorded 67.3%, up 1.0 percentage point from the previous month (66.3%), ranking third overall.
This survey was conducted twice by Realmeter using a random phone call automated response method on both wired and wireless lines from June 27 to July 1 and July 27 to 30, targeting 13,600 men and women aged 18 and over nationwide (800 per city/province for June and July).
The sampling error by metropolitan government is ±3.5 percentage points at a 95% confidence level, and the response rate is 2.0%. Detailed information can be found on the Realmeter website.
