CU, operated by BGF Retail, is launching new products in its ultra-low-priced private brand (PB) 'Deuktem Series.' First, they are releasing ‘HEYROO Tofu Deuktem’ priced at 1,000 KRW. This cooking tofu weighs 300g and is up to 45% cheaper compared to similar products sold at CU. At the same time, they are introducing ‘HEYROO String Cheese Deuktem (5 pieces, 3,500 KRW).’ This means each piece costs 700 KRW, which is only half the average price (1,700 KRW) of string cheese products currently sold at CU. The ‘HEYROO Boneless Jokbal Deuktem’ and ‘Chewy Pyeonyuk Deuktem’ (each 3,900 KRW) were launched together with Jangchung-dong Wang Jokbal. These products offer jokbal and pyeonyuk snacks, which usually cost over 10,000 KRW, in small 100g portions priced in the 3,000 KRW range.

Moms Touch’s pizza brand Moms Pizza has launched the 'Two Chicken (鷄) BOX,' a package that includes pizza along with chicken and side menus. The Two Chicken BOX consists of ▲ one medium-sized Moms Pizza (M size) from 12 options including the Ssai Pizza ▲ half a fried chicken (or two small-sized Cajun Tteokgangjeong) ▲ four pieces of jalapeno nuggets ▲ one Cajun seasoned potato ▲ one serving of chicken radish ▲ various sauces and cola, all popular menu items. The price is set based on the pizza selected by the customer, with the classic line ‘Cheese Pizza’ priced at 27,700 KRW and ‘Ssai Pizza’ priced at 34,700 KRW.

Seoul Milk, Renewed Launch of Protein Drink ‘Protein Energy’

Seoul Milk Cooperative has renewed and launched the protein drink ‘Protein Energy.’ The renewed Protein Energy comes in two flavors, chocolate and coffee, each containing 21g of milk protein and an increased arginine content of 3,000 mg compared to the previous version. It also contains 3,500 mg of BCAA (Branched-Chain Amino Acids), which are nine essential amino acids necessary for muscle synthesis, 500 mg of taurine, and seven types of vitamin B complex. Using allulose, a zero-calorie sugar substitute, helps reduce calorie concerns and supports diet management. The packaging has also been updated for drinking convenience, with the cap positioned in the center and changed to a slim, sterilized pack for better grip.
