Russian Residents Risk Lives to Flee Ukrainian Raid "Leaving Without Even Grabbing Belongings"

Ukraine Attacks Kursk Region
Residents Risk Lives to Escape
"Government Fails to Share Information Properly," Outraged

On the 6th, Ukraine deployed a large-scale force and launched a sudden attack, causing residents in Russia's Kursk region to abandon their homes and risk their lives to escape. Apartments were destroyed, buildings collapsed, and there is a shortage of food and drinking water.

Residents of the Kursk region, caught off guard by the attack, reportedly fled without properly gathering their belongings. Local residents, who had to hide crouched in basements overnight or flee in their underwear, expressed frustration that the government did not properly share information about the war situation, leaving them helpless to escape.

The British daily The Telegraph reported on the 11th (local time) that fear is rapidly spreading in the Russian Kursk area, which is experiencing an invasion by foreign troops for the first time since World War II.

According to The Telegraph, Ukrainian forces advanced up to 30 km from the border and took control of the small town of Sudzha in Kursk Oblast and several surrounding villages.

Online videos showed Ukrainian troops tearing down the Russian flag hanging on the Sudzha government building and dozens of Russian soldiers' bodies scattered across fields.

Due to this attack, Russian residents reportedly swam across rivers to escape, and when faced with the sudden situation, elderly and disabled people had to be left behind.

A woman on an evacuation bus said in another video that she had to crouch in the subway all night to avoid Ukrainian airstrikes, describing, "Everything was burning, and drones and missiles were flying around."

Terrified residents also expressed anger at the government's response.

One resident told local media, "I don't know why they don't tell the truth," adding, "On TV, they keep saying 'emergency,' but foreign military tanks have entered our land?what kind of emergency is that? This is already war."

Meanwhile, in Ukraine, there is a celebratory atmosphere for the victory. The Telegraph reported that Ukrainians are congratulating and cheering the soldiers who have retaliated against Russia as much as they were attacked.
