On the 10th (local time), she won the gold medal in the women's golf event at the 2024 Paris Olympics held at Le Golf National Olympic Course (Par 72) near Gyangcour, France. This marks her third consecutive Olympic medal, following a silver medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games and a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Games. She earned the final point needed to qualify for the LPGA Tour Hall of Fame, becoming the youngest inductee at 27 years and 4 months old.

Lydia Ko is a skilled player with a total of 20 wins on the LPGA Tour, including two major championships. This year, after winning the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in January, she struggled to win titles. She participated in 14 tournaments and made the top 10 only four times. Her world ranking dropped to 22nd, and she was not considered a favorite to win at this Olympics.

However, she showcased precise tee shots, pinpoint iron shots, and clutch putting skills to add a new accolade as an Olympic gold medalist. Especially in the final 4th round at the 5th hole (Par 4), her crisis management stood out. She hit her third shot from 87 meters to within 1.3 meters of the hole, securing a par. On the last 18th hole (Par 5), she sank a 2.3-meter birdie putt to celebrate her gold medal victory.

Lydia Ko played long game using the Ping G430 Max 10K driver, fairway wood, and hybrid clubs. The driver model with the 10K designation is known for its exceptional forgiveness.
