President Yoon's Approval Rating Rises by 0.8 Percentage Points

President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating has slightly increased.

According to a public opinion poll released on the 12th by Realmeter (conducted by request of Energy Economy Newspaper from the 5th to the 9th, surveying 2,505 voters aged 18 and over nationwide using a wireless (97%) and wired (3%) automated response telephone survey method), President Yoon's approval rating for his administration rose by 0.8 percentage points from the previous survey to 33.6%. The negative evaluation of his administration decreased by 1.0 percentage point from a week ago to 62.2%.

President Yoon's approval rating increased by 4.6 percentage points in Seoul, from 30.5% to 35.1%, and by 4.6 percentage points in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungcheong regions, from 34.4% to 39.0%. By age group, the approval rating among those in their 50s rose by 6.9 percentage points, from 25.7% to 32.6%. Among conservatives, the approval rating also increased by 3.7 percentage points, from 55.6% to 59.3%.

In the party support survey (conducted by request of Energy Economy Newspaper from the 8th to the 9th, surveying 1,001 voters aged 18 and over nationwide using a wireless (97%) and wired (3%) automated response telephone survey method), the People Power Party received 37.8%, and the Democratic Party received 36.8%. Compared to the previous survey, the People Power Party dropped by 0.7 percentage points, while the Democratic Party rose by 0.5 percentage points. The Innovation Party received 8.6%, and the Reform Party 4.5%, among others.
