Jungnang-gu, Resident Participation Budget Vote for 2025 Budget Planning

Jungnang-gu, Resident Participation Budget Vote for 2025 Budget Planning

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) will conduct the 2025 Jungnang-gu Resident Participatory Budget online voting from August 12 to 23.

The Resident Participatory Budget system allows residents to directly participate in the budget formulation process by proposing and deciding on projects needed in the community. The district reflects residents' voices in policies through this system every year.

This vote targets a total of 51 projects selected through review by the relevant departments and deliberation by the Resident Participation Committee from resident-proposed projects received during the call for proposals held from March to May. Compared to 31 projects last year, the increase of 20 projects this year indicates higher participation from residents.

The projects up for voting consist of 19 projects in the resident life sector and 32 projects in the urban construction sector. Anyone, including Jungnang-gu residents, workers, and students located in Jungnang-gu, can participate via the Seoul M-Voting website.

Each participant can vote for up to 10 projects, and based on the voting results, approximately 1 billion KRW worth of resident participatory budget projects will be finalized. The selected projects will be reflected in the 2025 budget after the council's budget review.

Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “We ask for your interest and participation so that the valuable opinions of residents can be reflected in the actual budget formulation.”

The district plans to further strengthen residents' participation and communication by collecting diverse opinions through the online resident participatory budget voting.
