Gwangju City Selects 5 Excellent Companies in Industrial Safety and Health

21segi Medical Co., Ltd. and Others Receive Certificates and Plaques
Various Benefits Provided for Creating a Better Work Environment Over 2 Years

Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 11th that it awarded the ‘2024 Gwangju Industrial Safety and Health Excellent Company’ certificates and plaques to five companies, including 21 Century Medical Co., Ltd., at the City Hall Business Room on the 9th.

This project, which Gwangju City has been implementing since 2022, aims to strengthen awareness of industrial safety and create a safe working environment. It was held once a year but from this year onward, the selection will be divided into the first and second half of the year.

The excellent companies for the first half of this year are ▲21 Century Medical Co., Ltd. (CEO Shin Mihyang) ▲Daekwang Precision Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Seungju) ▲Menpus Co., Ltd. (CEO Jo Seok) ▲Scaletron Co., Ltd. (CEO Yoo Youngseok) ▲K C&P Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Youngjik), totaling five companies.

These companies received high scores in evaluation categories such as compliance with industrial safety and health regulations, achievements in improving the work environment, risk assessment, and the adequacy of facilities and equipment.

Gwangju City supports these workplaces with 2 million KRW for work environment improvement funds, along with linked support such as management stabilization funds and industrial accident prevention education and consultation (consulting).

In the second half of this year, Gwangju City plans to promote the Industrial Safety and Health Excellent Company public contest project targeting small-scale private workplaces in the region to reduce industrial accident rates and strengthen safety and health management, thereby perfectly creating a safe working environment for small-scale workplaces.

Ko Gwangwan, Deputy Mayor of Gwangju City, emphasized, "To create a safe workplace where workers can work well, it is necessary for local governments to conduct preventive activities along with active investment by business owners in safety and health-related facilities and equipment."
