Kim Yeji (31, Imsil County Office), who won the silver medal in the 10m air pistol event at the 2024 Paris Olympics shooting competition, was found to have fainted suddenly on the 9th due to overwork.

According to Yonhap News on the same day, a representative from the emergency medicine department at Jeonju Daejain Hospital, where Kim is hospitalized, stated, "Kim needs rest due to overwork," adding, "No abnormal findings were detected in blood tests, CT scans, or X-rays." They further added, "She needs to rest going forward and is expected to be discharged soon."

On the same day, at 11:01 a.m., Kim collapsed with convulsions during an interview at a press conference held at the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Comprehensive Shooting Range in Imsil County, Jeonbuk. She received emergency treatment on site and recovered within 10 minutes before being immediately transferred to Jeonju Daejain Hospital.
