Operation for 4 Weeks Starting from the 12th
Goal to Expand Application Step by Step
To allow complainants and petitioners to check the progress of their cases via mobile, the Seoul Seocho Police Station will pilot the 'My Case Notification' service.
The Seoul Seocho Police Station announced that from the 12th of this month to the 6th of next month, over a period of four weeks, some investigation teams will pilot the 'My Case Notification' service, which proactively notifies the progress of investigations for received cases.
This service was implemented to resolve the inconvenience experienced by complainants and petitioners who, despite being parties to the case, were unable to share the progress of investigations. Previously, complainants and petitioners faced difficulties in easily inquiring about investigation progress due to feelings of burden and anxiety.
Accordingly, the Seocho Police Station plans to operate a Q&A system using shared mobile devices and notify the progress of cases step-by-step. Additionally, authority to access case information on the online Criminal Justice Portal will be granted to complainants' proxy lawyers.
The Seocho Police Station plans to test the service for four weeks to assess reactions and satisfaction levels. The goal is to gradually expand the service after gathering public opinion from various sectors.
