Joint Efforts for Healthy Eating Habits with Breakfast
Promoting Rice Consumption Culture... Cooperation in Publicity and Campaigns
Gijang County in Busan (County Governor Jung Jongbok) signed an agreement for the "Eat Breakfast Campaign" with the Busan Regional Headquarters of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (Director Jeong Chanho) at the Gijang County Office on the 7th.
This agreement was established to promote a healthy rice consumption culture, improve the health of Gijang residents, and revitalize the local agricultural economy.
The agreement includes efforts to foster healthy eating habits by encouraging breakfast consumption, cooperation in promotional activities and campaigns to establish a sound rice consumption culture, and support for a local food circulation system to boost the local economy and promote regional coexistence. To achieve these goals, the two organizations pledged to build a close cooperative system and work together.
Prior to the signing ceremony, the Busan Regional Headquarters of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation distributed 500 bags of rice (1kg each) and 500 rice cakes to employees arriving at work in the first-floor lobby of the county office, as part of the "Eat Breakfast Campaign."
An employee of Gijang County who participated in the campaign said, "It had become routine for me to go to work without breakfast, but receiving an unexpected gift on my way to work gave me another opportunity to think about the importance of breakfast."
Governor Jung Jongbok stated, "I will actively participate in the campaign to promote rice consumption within the region, not only to improve the health of residents but also to support local farmers who are facing management difficulties."
