According to the county on the 8th, the hometown visit project supports multicultural families who have been unable to visit their home countries due to economic difficulties by providing round-trip airline tickets, travel insurance, and local transportation expenses. This year, the selection committee chose a total of 26 people from 6 families to share the joy of visiting their hometowns.

Since 2014, through a business agreement with the four Rotary Clubs in the Buan area of International Rotary District 3670, the county has supported hometown visits for 65 multicultural families totaling 241 people up to last year.

Governor Kwon Ik-hyun said, "I hope that the hometown visit will help ease the longing for their hometowns felt by marriage immigrants, and provide husbands and children with an opportunity to understand and enjoy the culture of their wives' and mothers' countries, creating happy memories and making their families even happier."
