On the 7th (local time), American pop culture magazine Variety announced on its website the '2024 Young Hollywood Impact Report,' which included NewJeans, ATEEZ, and Yoo Ji-young on the list.

Variety mentioned NewJeans as the only K-pop female artist on this list this year, highlighting various records they achieved on the US Billboard charts and the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify.

It also noted their partnerships with global brands such as Coca-Cola, Apple, and Levi's, describing "NewJeans as the undisputed K-pop trend." The report explained that they released new songs "Bubble Gum" and "How Sweet" and are preparing for a large-scale world tour in 2025.

Boy group ATEEZ was selected as an 'Up Next' artist expected to experience significant growth.

Variety emphasized that ATEEZ was the first K-pop boy group to perform at the US music festival Coachella and that they reached number one on the Billboard 200, the main Billboard album chart.

Second-generation Korean-American actor Yoo Ji-young was also included on the list as a figure who is receiving greater attention in the US entertainment industry than in Korea.

She gained public recognition for the American independent film "Smoking Tigers" (2023), which won acting and screenplay awards at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Variety reported that she gained great popularity starring alongside Nicole Kidman in the drama series "Expats," released earlier this year on Amazon Prime Video.
