Ulju County Provides Special Cooling Cost Support for Energy-Vulnerable Groups Amid Heatwave

100 Vulnerable Households to Receive 100,000 Won Each in Cash

Ulsan Ulju County announced on the 8th that it will provide a special cooling bill subsidy of 10 million KRW to energy-vulnerable households struggling with heatwaves, tropical nights, and severe summer heat.

This special cooling bill support has been prepared to ease the financial burden on vulnerable groups and to help them spend the summer safely and healthily.

Ulju County plans to provide 100,000 KRW in cash per household for cooling expenses to 100 local vulnerable households who are struggling with cooling costs. The payments will be completed by the end of this month using designated donations from the Community Chest of Korea.

An official from Ulju County stated, "For energy-vulnerable groups, summer heatwaves can pose a serious threat to daily life and health," adding, "We will mobilize all available resources to establish a proactive and active response system so that vulnerable groups can enjoy a safe and healthy life."
