Donation Certificate of 200 Million KRW Presented for Successful Hosting of Island Expo
NH Nonghyup Bank has been selected as the official sponsor bank for the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo.
The 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo Organizing Committee announced on the 7th that Chairman Jeong Gi-myeong (Mayor of Yeosu) and Kwon Yong-dae, head of NH Nonghyup Bank Yeosu branch, signed an official sponsorship bank business agreement at Yeosu City Hall.
On this day, NH Nonghyup Bank presented a sponsorship certificate worth 200 million KRW and expressed its commitment to supporting the successful hosting of the Islands Expo. According to the agreement, the bank will pre-purchase admission tickets to help secure visitors.
Additionally, the Islands Expo will be actively promoted through the use of the emblem (logo) on ATM machines (21,984 units) installed at NH Nonghyup branches nationwide, as well as on printed materials and souvenirs produced by Nonghyup within the region.
Through this business agreement, NH Nonghyup Bank will be granted authority to manage the Expo’s revenue and participate in the ticket sales business.
Chairman Jeong Gi-myeong stated, “Considering NH Nonghyup Bank’s continuous contributions to regional development and its eco-friendly corporate image, it was selected as the official sponsor bank. We ask for continued active support and encouragement for the successful hosting of the Islands Expo and the vigorous departure toward preparing for the next 100 years of Yeosu, a key city on the southern coast and a beautiful port.”
The 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo will be held from September 5 to November 4, 2026, at Dolsan Jinmo District, Yeosu World Expo site, Gaedo, and Geumodo, under the theme “Islands, Connecting the Sea and the Future.”
