Gyeonggawon Recruits 30 Provincial Evaluators for G-Star Audition Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency's G-Star Audition Resident Evaluation Panel Recruitment Poster

The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is recruiting 30 local residents to participate as citizen evaluators for the '2024 G-Star Audition'.

The agency announced on the 8th that it will recruit 30 citizen evaluators aged 19 or older residing in Gyeonggi-do through the official G-Star Audition website (g-staraudition.com) until the 30th of this month.

The citizen evaluators will listen to the technology presentations of the 9 teams that advanced to the Pre-League in the G-Star Audition finals, and together with professional judges, evaluate the startups' business model innovation, marketability, and feasibility to select the top 3 teams.

The G-Star Audition, held for the first time this year, is an IR pitching competition for deep-tech prospective entrepreneurs and startups established less than 7 years ago. It was planned to discover representative startups in the province and foster them through various supports such as prize money and global expansion.

This audition will be held in conjunction with the '2024 Gyeonggi Startup Summit (South Summit Korea)' event, which takes place over three days from September 25 to 27 at the Suwon Convention Center.

The audition is divided into three leagues considering the growth stage and characteristics of startups: ▲Pre-League (all fields) ▲Scale-up League (deep-tech field) ▲ESG League (sustainability and social problem-solving field).

Kang Seong-cheon, head of the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, said, "For startups to succeed and grow into global unicorns, technology that captivates the public is necessary," adding, "The G-Star Audition will be a valuable opportunity for startups to receive evaluations from diverse perspectives through the participation of citizen evaluators and to upgrade their business models."
