HiteJinro Supports Heatwave Relief Supplies for Residents of Jjokbangchon

Delivery of Small Refrigerators, Large Mats, and Health Foods

HiteJinro announced on the 8th that it has delivered sponsorship goods to help residents of jjokbangchon, vulnerable to summer heatwaves, have a healthy summer.

The sponsorship goods delivery ceremony held the day before was attended by Jeong Se-young, Executive Director of HiteJinro, Yoo Ho-yeon, Director of the Seoul Station Jjokbang Counseling Center, Ko Gwang-hyun, Welfare Planning Officer of Seoul City, and other related officials. This year, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of HiteJinro's founding, employees operated the event as "HiteJinro Day," combining volunteer activities at the 'Ongi Warehouse' in the Seoul Station jjokbangchon.

HiteJinro provides small refrigerators and reed mats to residents of five jjokbangchon areas: Donui-dong, Changsin-dong, Namdaemun, Seoul Station, and Yeongdeungpo. Additionally, 2,000 servings of health food such as Samgyetang are delivered to residents of the Seoul Station jjokbangchon.

Previously, in 2013, HiteJinro signed a joint cooperation agreement with Seoul City for cold wave and heatwave response and protection activities for housing-vulnerable groups, and has been continuously supporting jjokbangchon residents during the hot season for 11 years.

Kim In-gyu, CEO of HiteJinro, said, "I hope this small help will assist jjokbangchon residents struggling with the extreme heat this summer to have a healthy season," adding, "We will continue to support vulnerable groups and actively lead efforts to spread the management value of 'adding sincerity' as a 100-year company."
