Dankook University Hospital and the Korea Traditional Performing Arts Foundation will host the '2024 The ART SPOT Series'.
The 'ART SPOT Series' features performances that add new sensibilities to Korean traditional music in various spaces. Until October, these performances will take place at venues including Dankook University Hospital, Cheongwadae, and Incheon International Airport.
The performances will be held eight times from the 8th until October 18th, taking place in the hospital lobby and the outdoor music garden.
Participating groups include 'Gonggan', an ensemble that reinterprets traditional music with a variety of instruments regardless of genre; 'Guim', which expresses the gentle resonance of poetry through Korean sensibilities; 'Geomungo Byeongchang Club', which will showcase a new side of Geomungo Byeongchang with inventive story-driven musical theater; and 'Yehwa', which will provide a vibrant visual experience by performing live drawing on stage.
Kim Jaeil, director of the hospital, said, "Through cultural performances utilizing our spacious lobby, we aim to provide opportunities for cultural enjoyment not only to patients and their guardians but also to local residents, and we will continue to make various efforts toward emotional healing."
