A welcome ceremony for archer Kim Woojin, who achieved three gold medals at the Paris Olympics, along with coach Hong Seungjin and coaches Lim Donghyun and Jeong Sunhee, will be held at 11 a.m. on the 8th at Dongbuchanggo Building 6 in Naedeok-dong, Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju, Chungbuk.


The city of Cheongju plans to present the athletes with reward money and bouquets at the ceremony. The reward amounts are 30 million won for athlete Kim Woojin, 30 million won for coach Hong Seungjin, and 15 million won for men's archery coach Jeong Sunhee.


The city has also prepared various events such as congratulatory performances and a fan signing event, hoping that many citizens will attend and celebrate the athletes.


Cheongju Mayor Lee Beomseok said, "I hope many citizens will join us for this meaningful occasion to welcome our athletes, who have achieved tremendous results in a distant country."


Meanwhile, at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Kim Woojin won gold medals in the men's team, mixed team, and individual events, achieving three gold medals in archery. He also won his fifth career Olympic gold medal, setting the record for the most Olympic gold medals by a Korean athlete.
