Nowon-gu Mayor Oh Seung-rok Signs Mutual Exchange Agreement with T1 in eSports Field

On the 6th at 4 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, signed a 'Mutual Exchange Agreement between Nowon-gu and T1' at T1 HQ located on Seolleung-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

The agreement aims for the exchange and cooperation of human and material resources in the esports field between Nowon-gu and SK Telecom CST1 Corporation (T1), with the agreement period set for one year from the signing date.

The main contents of the agreement include technical support and cooperation necessary for building and operating esports infrastructure, cooperation in esports events and promotional activities, and information exchange and mutual cooperation to promote esports education and economic activities.

At the signing ceremony, about 20 people attended including Mayor Oh Seung-rok, T1 A-team leader Choi Won-jun, Nowon-gu Esports Promotion Advisory Committee member Councilor Lee Yong-ah, Chairman Lee Jin-hoon, and others. The event proceeded in the order of ▲participant introductions ▲greetings ▲signing and exchanging the agreement ▲commemorative photo ▲tour of T1 esports facilities.

Meanwhile, the district will hold the 'Nowon Esports Festival' on the 17th, combining various attractions and participatory events to create a place of harmony for the whole family to enjoy together.

In particular, among the tournament events at the festival, an event match is scheduled between the national tournament champion team of League of Legends and T1 LoL’s third team, a popular esports club. Additionally, a T1 Academy booth will be set up inside the esports festival venue to provide esports education and career counseling.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, "Through this agreement, I hope Nowon-gu and T1 will cooperate to become an opportunity to spread esports culture," and added, "Starting with the 'Nowon Esports Festival' to be held on the 17th, we will create various opportunities for esports cultural experiences that all generations can enjoy together."
