On the 6th, Maeil Business Newspaper Star Today reported, "On the 2nd, Lee Geon-ju received a naerimgut ritual from shaman Choi Do-won at a gutdang in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province, and started a new life as a shaman." It is known that he became 'god siblings' with former bank clerk and shaman Ham Soo-hyun, who recently gained attention by appearing on the SBS entertainment program ‘Possessed Love’.

In an interview with the media, Lee Geon-ju said, "I have long been told why I haven't received the god, but I ignored and endured it, and eventually the spiritual illness came as a mental illness." It is known that Lee Geon-ju suffered from severe depression since last year and even felt impulses for extreme attempts.

Lee Geon-ju said, "Living was not really living, and when I asked, they said, 'You were supposed to have died long ago.' During that time, strangely, work completely stopped. My family strongly opposed it, but I eventually accepted my fate."

He added, "My aunt who raised me was also destined to receive the shinnaerim, but she refused it for the sake of her nephew who was active as 'Sundol' and lived her whole life that way. She cried a lot saying, 'It seems to have come to me.'"

He continued, "Nowadays, it is not an era with a strong aversion to shamans. I have set up a shindang in Samseong-dong, and although I am living a new life, if I can continue my entertainment activities, I want to keep walking this path."

According to the report, on the day Lee Geon-ju received the naerimgut, he showed a truly 'possessed' attitude by accurately guessing the personal stories of the people present at the scene.

Born in 1981, Lee Geon-ju debuted as a child actor in the 1986 drama 'Premiere' and gained much love as a child actor playing the role of 'Choi Sundol' in the 1990s MBC drama 'Under One Roof.' In 2020, he also participated in the trot audition program 'Voice Trot' aimed at stars.
