Since April, Lotte Chilsung Beverage collected over 62.56 million KRW through 'social contribution sales stands' installed in 375 retail stores within Lotte Mart nationwide over three months and delivered the funds to the Environmental Foundation. The fund was raised by donating 5,000 KRW per purchase when consumers verified a QR code after buying products.

The Environmental Foundation plans to use the delivered funds for transplanting Zalpi, a carbon sink, in the Taean area of Chungnam Province.

Earlier in March, the Korea Coast Guard, Lotte Chilsung Beverage, and the Environmental Foundation signed a business agreement to create a "clean and clear sea."

Oh Sang-kwon, Deputy Commissioner of the Korea Coast Guard, said, "We hope that the fund delivery ceremony will activate marine environmental conservation activities involving both the public and private sectors," adding, "Let us work together to establish a culture of marine environmental protection in the daily lives of the people."
