Production Induction Effect of 12.6 Billion KRW and Employment Induction Effect of 112 People
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 6th that they will provide support for the successful hosting of the '2024 International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI 2024),' held from the 3rd to the 9th.

IJCAI is a prestigious international academic conference in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) that began in 1969 in Washington, DC, USA. While it has been held in China and Japan in Asia, this is the first time it is being hosted in Korea, and this year it took place at the Jeju International Convention Center.
The conference, attended by over 3,500 AI experts from 60 countries worldwide, including global companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Alibaba, and Apple, is expected to generate approximately 12.6 billion KRW in production inducement effects and create 112 jobs.
The Korea Tourism Organization is supporting the official dinner for all IJCAI participants on the evening of the 7th through its international conference support program.
Jung Chang-wook, head of the MICE division at the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "The organization is forming a bidding committee together with government agencies, regional tourism organizations, and MICE dedicated organizations to expand the attraction of international conferences. We plan to continue appointing influential figures as KOREA MICE Ambassadors and inviting decision-makers from international organizations to Korea, carrying out various activities to support bidding and hosting."
