Pohang City visited its sister city, Ulleung County, from the 4th to the 6th for a three-day schedule to celebrate the 22nd Ulleungdo Squid Festival and actively promoted the charms of Pohang at the festival site.

On the 5th, Pohang City promoted the charm of Pohang by setting up a promotional booth around Jeodong Port, where the Ulleungdo Squid Festival is being held.

The delegation, led by Pohang Deputy Mayor Jang Sanggil, participated in the Squid Festival held around Jeodong Port on the 5th, operated a Pohang promotional booth, and introduced Pohang's representative tourist attractions, festivals, and local agricultural specialties.

On this day, the city promoted major tourist destinations such as Pohang Space Walk and Cheolgil Forest, as well as unique festivals like the Pohang International Fireworks Festival and the Homibando Coastal Trail Walking Festival to Ulleung County residents and tourists visiting the festival. The tasting corner for Pohang raspberries and Yeongilman Chingu traditional liquor also received a great response.

Members of the Jaepo Ulleung Hometown Association also participated at the event venue, supporting the promotion of Pohang City and cheering for their hometown Ulleung County's Squid Festival.

Deputy Mayor Jang Sanggil said, "I sincerely congratulate the Squid Festival held in our sister city, Ulleung County," and added, "I hope that both cities will continue to grow together through ongoing exchanges in various fields, including regional festivals."

Pohang City and Ulleung County signed the 'Pohang-Ulleung Sisterhood Agreement' at Pohang City Hall in July last year, agreeing to send delegations to each other's representative festivals and commemorative events, provide supplies in the event of disasters, and actively cooperate for mutual development.
