By participating in the action missions on Kakao Together's 'Everyone's Action,' Kakao will donate on behalf of participants to the descendants of independence activists. This action mission is 'Displaying the Taegeukgi.' If you hang the Taegeukgi flag in front of your house or attach a Taegeukgi sticker to your KakaoTalk profile and upload a verification photo, Kakao will donate 815 KRW per Taegeukgi photo, up to a maximum of 30 million KRW, to support the descendants of independence activists. The donation will be given to 'Korea Habitat' to improve the poor housing conditions of the descendants of independence activists.

You can also participate through the Kakao Together donation box. Together with Korea Habitat, a donation box for the descendants of independence activists is being operated and participation is possible until the 15th of next month. Users can also donate directly to the donation box. When users write comments, cheer, or share on the donation box page, Kakao will donate 100 KRW on their behalf.

Additionally, Kakao's impact commerce platform Kakao Makers is running a campaign selling 'Limited Edition 815 Chunsik Badge' along with commemorative goods for independence activists, donating all proceeds to Korea Habitat for the descendants of independence activists. The Chunsik badge is sold in a limited quantity of 1,945 units. The commemorative goods can be purchased on the Kakao Makers page until the 19th.

Jung Young-joo, Kakao ESG Service Performance Leader, said, "We prepared an opportunity for users to participate together to remember the meaning of Liberation Day and share the difficulties of the descendants of independence activists," adding, "We plan to continue running various campaigns that users can easily participate in to contribute to solving social issues."
