Hoseo University announced on the 6th that students from the Department of Industrial Design have won multiple awards at the 2024 Spark Design Award in the United States.
Three projects were selected as Winners: the 3D printing vitamin maker "Mix Me Vita" (Choi Yeonju, Seo Subin), the camera for pet owners and their dogs to take photos together "Pet Pair Cam" (Lee Gahee, Lee Minwoo), and the road printing robot "Road Printer" (Hwang Yeonwoo, Kim Taerin). These works reportedly received high marks for originality and innovation.
The Spark Design Award is considered one of the world's top four design awards, along with Germany's Reddot and IF, and the United States' IDEA. Hoseo University also won the grand prize at the 2024 Reddot Concept Design Award in Germany.
Do Han-young, head of the Department of Industrial Design, said, "The passion and design skills of Hoseo University's industrial design students are world-class, as proven by numerous international competition awards. We look forward to seeing more achievements from our students, who have demonstrated a 'can-do' spirit through our systematic and differentiated curriculum."
