Tent Installation on Shared Outdoor Platform
"How Are Others Supposed to Use It?"
A story has emerged about someone witnessing a tent pitched on a communal platform that everyone can use.
Recently, a post on an online community shared an account of seeing a tent pitched on a platform near the beach in Yeongdeok, Gyeongbuk. The author of the post, Mr. A, began by saying, "I witnessed a tent and even a sunshade set up on the platform to block the sunlight."
In the photos Mr. A shared, a beige tent can be seen pitched on the platform. Next to the platform, there is a white car presumed to belong to the tent owner, and beside the platform stairs, there are two bags of trash that appear to have been discarded by the tent owner. Mr. A criticized, "It seems like they think the platform belongs to them," adding, "They set up a tent or sunshade, laid out their belongings, and sat on a fishing chair. It's really an eyesore."
He continued, "If they pitch a tent like that, how are others supposed to use the space?" and added, "There are so many selfish people. I really hope they get what they deserve."
The platform in question is located in front of the National Youth Marine Center and is originally intended as a space for visitors to park or take a short rest. Acts like the one described above for personal gain are strictly prohibited.
Netizens who read the story responded with comments such as, "There are really strange people in the world," "They do such things just for their own comfort," "In a different sense, they are quite remarkable," and "Selfish people who take away a place to cool off in this heat."
