Comprehensive Coverage of Film Production from Theory to Shooting and Editing
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) is hosting the 'Jungnang Nopil Film School - Youth Film Camp 2024' at Yangwon Media Center for teenagers on summer vacation.
The program runs from August 5 to August 8.
The 'Youth Film Camp' is a career exploration program for teenagers aspiring to pursue a career in the film industry. During the four-day education period, participants create films with mentors and team members, learning film theory and overall production, while also gaining the values of consideration and cooperation through teamwork.
The camp is scheduled for four days and covers various topics related to overall film production. On the first day, theoretical education such as scriptwriting, filming techniques, and editing is provided. On the second day, participants get hands-on experience by shooting a short film. The third day involves additional filming and editing. On the final day, the completed short films will be screened at the 'Cinema Nopil' theater in Jungnang Yangwon Media Center, followed by a cine talk where participants share their impressions.
A total of 20 students, including 8 middle school and 12 high school students from the local area, will participate in the camp. Two film directors and film production education instructors will divide into teams to provide education and production mentoring.
The district plans to offer opportunities for teenagers to meet diverse audiences by participating in film festivals and contests with the works created through the 'Youth Film Camp.'
Additionally, the center intends to continue providing educational and technical support so that the camp can lead to youth media club activities even after it ends.
Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "I hope this youth film camp will be a valuable time for teenagers dreaming of becoming future filmmakers to explore their career paths," adding, "We will continue to prepare various programs so that the media center can be a media guide for the residents of Jungnang-gu."
