[Tomorrow's Weather] Daytime 36°C Nationwide Heatwave... Showers in Some Areas

With a nationwide heatwave advisory in effect, the heat will continue to intensify on Sunday, the 4th.


The morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between 24 and 28 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between 29 and 36 degrees Celsius. For the time being, the highest apparent temperatures in most regions nationwide will rise to around 35 degrees Celsius, making it very hot.

Temperatures by region (low~high) will be Seoul (27~35), Incheon (26~33), Suwon (26~34), Chuncheon (25~34), Gangneung (27~30), Cheongju (27~35), Daejeon (26~36), Sejong (25~36), Jeonju (27~35), Gwangju (27~35), Daegu (28~36), Busan (28~33), Ulsan (27~33), Changwon (28~36), and Jeju (29~34).


In some areas, showers will temporarily lower temperatures, but after the showers, the humidity will remain high and daytime temperatures will rise, making it extremely hot.


There will be occasional clouds nationwide, with showers expected in the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon and the southern regions from morning to afternoon, in the eastern part of Gyeonggi and inland Chungcheong areas in the afternoon, and in Jeju Island.


Expected rainfall amounts from showers are 5 to 40 mm in eastern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous Gangwon, Daejeon, Sejong, inland Chungnam, Chungbuk, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk; 5 to 60 mm in eastern Jeonnam, inland Jeonbuk, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam; and 5 to 20 mm in Jeju Island.


Fine dust levels will be 'Good' to 'Moderate' nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.


Sea waves will be 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the East Sea and South Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 meters in the West Sea coastal waters. Wave heights in the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline) are expected to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea and South Sea.
