"Achieved After 24 Years"... Judo's Kim Ha-yoon Wins Women's Heavyweight Bronze Medal [Paris Olympics]

Kim Ha-yoon (24, Ansan City Hall), the leading female judoka in South Korea's heaviest weight class, won the bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.


On the 2nd (local time), Kim Ha-yoon defeated Kayra Ozdemir (Turkey) in the bronze medal match of the women's over 78kg judo event held at the Champ de Mars arena in Paris, France.


With this, Kim Ha-yoon brought South Korea its first women's heaviest weight class judo medal in 24 years since the Sydney 2000 Games (Kim Sun-young's bronze medal).
