20s Tattooed Man Who Assaulted Taxi Driver Arrested for Posting Sexual Video on SNS Photo by JTBC, captured from the video of 'Sageon Banjang'.

On the 2nd, the Jeongeup Branch of the Jeonju District Prosecutors' Office announced that Mr. A (27) was arrested and indicted on charges including injury, special assault, special intimidation, and violation of the Sexual Violence Punishment Act. Mr. A is accused of throwing broken glass cups and swinging metal chairs at other customers in restaurants in Jeonju, Jeonbuk, and Gwangju between January and April. He is also charged with posting videos of sexual intercourse with a woman on his social networking service (SNS).

According to the investigation, Mr. A was identified as the individual who assaulted an elderly taxi driver near Jeonju Express Bus Terminal in February and posted a video of the incident on YouTube, causing public outrage.

At the time, Mr. A uploaded the video titled "Taxi Driver Assault Tattooed Man" and others to promote his YouTube channel. In the problematic video, Mr. A threatened the taxi driver by brandishing a weapon and lifting his shirt to show his tattoos, because the driver was not driving fast enough. It was revealed that he continued to generate income by posting videos of fights with other YouTubers and showing off his tattoos.

It was confirmed that Mr. A showed a disregard for the law by posting videos mocking the investigation agencies even during the prosecution’s inquiry. A prosecutor stated, "We will do our best to maintain the prosecution so that the defendant receives a sentence commensurate with the crime."
