The Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority has established a comprehensive plan to address population issues such as low birth rates.
On the 2nd, Pyeongtaek Port Authority announced that to tackle the low birth rate problem, it will operate customized systems tailored to each life cycle stage, including marriage, pregnancy and childbirth, and childcare, to encourage marriage and childbirth among its internal employees.
Pyeongtaek Port Authority will also promote various support policies aimed at solving the low birth rate issue for not only its internal employees but also external individuals such as residents of Gyeonggi Province.
Kim Seok-gu, President of Pyeongtaek Port Authority, stated, "In line with the policies discussed at the 7th Population Talk Talk Committee held in March, chaired by Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dong-yeon, the authority will exempt usage fees for the Gyeonggi Marine Safety Experience Center, which it manages and operates, for multi-child families in the province, and provide free Gyeonggi Marine Leisure Experience tickets to families who have given birth or are expecting a child within the province."
He added, "Pyeongtaek Port Authority plans to establish detailed policies to address population issues such as low birth rates and aging. We will not stop at planning but will continuously discover and implement policies and ideas that residents can feel, actively taking the lead as a public institution in the province to solve social problems."
