"Leave Your Worries Behind and Go Home"... Ulsan City Offers Psychological Counseling for Youth Interns

19 Interns Assigned to 16 Departments at City Hall

"Leave your worries at the office and go home after work."


Ulsan City is operating a psychological counseling program for interns working in various departments at City Hall.


On the afternoon of the 2nd, Ulsan City announced that it would run the mobile youth counseling center "Gominjeombbang" at "Dream of Cheonggorae," a youth hub space on the 2nd floor of the Ulsan Traditional Market Support Center.


The mobile Gominjeombbang is targeting 19 administrative experiential youth interns working in 16 departments at the main office, offering programs such as △exploring stress relief methods through aptitude and temperament analysis △psychological counseling using art therapy techniques.


In addition, psychological and emotional support will be provided by listening to individual difficulties based on the results of aptitude analysis during the counseling process and seeking solutions or improvements.


Jung Jaeheon, an intern currently working in the University and Youth Division, will also give a peer lecture on "Effective City Promotion Methods through Card News Production and Utilization" as part of a job competency enhancement training session.


An official from Ulsan City said, "We operated the mobile Gominjeombbang three times in the first half of the year and received positive feedback," adding, "We will continue to run the mobile Gominjeombbang, reaching out to youths who need counseling."


The mobile Gominjeombbang can be conducted after consultation between the University and Youth Division's Youth Policy Team and local districts, public institutions, companies, or youth-related organizations within Ulsan.


The youth counseling center "Gominjeombbang," operated by Ulsan City, provides customized comprehensive counseling for a variety of youth issues, including mental health, employment, entrepreneurship, housing, finance, law, and youth policies.


The service is available to youths aged 19 to 39 who live or are active in Ulsan.


Youths who wish to receive counseling can apply through the "Ulsan Youth Policy Platform" youth counseling center. Applicants can receive 1:1 counseling with a professional, including psychological tests, career aptitude tests, job and entrepreneurship programs, financial and legal advice, as well as information and guidance on Ulsan youth policies.


In the first half of this year, a total of 214 counseling sessions were conducted, including 47 in the field of mental health, 37 in employment, and 19 in housing.
