A man in his 30s who installed a hidden camera in the female employee lounge at a company and illegally filmed was brought to trial while in custody.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office's Women and Children Crime Investigation Division 1 (Chief Prosecutor Kim Ji-hye) announced on the 31st that they had indicted Lee Mo, a former employee of Seoul Metro, on the 30th on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, etc. (filming using a camera, etc.).

Lee is accused of installing hidden cameras 16 times from last year to this year in the female employee lounge on Subway Line 3 while working as a station staff member, filming employees undressing.

The crime was uncovered on April 4 last year when an employee of a subsidiary of the corporation discovered the hidden camera during cleaning of the lounge. When the police investigation began, Lee surrendered to the police the next day and was immediately suspended from his position.

The prosecution stated, "We requested the Cyber and Technical Crime Investigation Division of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office to delete the videos filmed by the defendant to prevent further damage from the distribution of the videos," and added, "We will do our utmost to maintain the prosecution so that punishment commensurate with the crime can be carried out."
